You just can’t beat the light in the South Of France.
Over a very long weekend on France’s south coast, I found once again that pointing the camera anywhere during the daytime produces remarkable results, and pointing it and holding it steady at night does just as well.
This was also a great destination to use (and consequently overuse) a polarising lens. We were meeting friends out here and I bought an extra polarising filter to give to them as soon as we met them. The Côte d’Azur is usually too hot and calm to have interesting tempestuous skies, but, polarise the clear blue cloudless expanse of warmth above you and the effects are just as stunning.
